Non-ferrous metals are typically worth significantly more than ferrous metals on a per kilogram basis, but the exact value of your load depends on several factors. The type of metal, the grade and purity, the quantity you are bringing in and current market conditions all play a role in determining the final price.
Copper is generally one of the highest value metals we buy, followed by brass and aluminium. Stainless steel and lead also attract solid prices depending on grade and quantity. The best way to get an accurate figure is to bring your load in or give us a call before you make the trip. We will give you a fair, honest assessment with no games.
What Condition Does It Need to Be In?
We accept most grades of non-ferrous metal including oxidised, dirty and mixed loads. You do not need to polish your copper or clean your aluminium before you bring it in. That said, there are some materials we cannot accept, so if you have something unusual it is worth giving us a quick call before you make the trip.
As with ferrous metals, the cleaner and better sorted your load is, the better the price you are likely to receive. If you can separate your copper from your aluminium and keep your brass separate from your stainless steel, you will generally get a better return. Not sure how to sort your load?
